An employee makes a request, issue, or demand to be settled overtime and it is fired or self-disciplined due to that request.
It is insufficient an employee is categorized as administrator or executes some administrator duties in his or her daily work. Misclassification like a salaried, exempt personnel is not the sole motive an employer may avoid paying truly owed overtime. Several organisations intentionally prevent spending overtime spend since many personnel don’t realize their rights and companies feel it’s worth the chance.
